Description

On February 20th, join us at the Marylebone Sports Bar in London to watch a screening of one of the debates among the candidates for DNC Chair and take part in an after-screening discussion. This is a unique opportunity to find out more about the Democratic Party as we consider our future direction and organization. This evening will help you understand more about how DAUK fits in with Democrats Abroad, the Democratic National Committee (DNC), and the Democratic Party organization.

All these topics matter for organizing and shaping our opposition and resistance to Trump and the Republican Party’s agendas.

Join your fellow members of Democrats Abroad UK to discuss on these issues in an after-screening discussion led by Carol Grose and Susan Schoenfeld Harrington.

Admission to this event is free. Those who are willing and able to make a further contribution to Democrats Abroad UK may buy a Supporter Ticket for £10.

Drinks and food will be available for purchase from the bar.

Moderators:

Susan Schoenfeld Harrington, a member of DAUK's ExComm, is a former Vice Chair of DAUK and member of the DPCA. She's also served on the DNC Finance Committee.
Susan started her political life as a 'babe in arms' at the March on Washington. She has since actively worked on political campaigns at the city, state and national level as both a volunteer and staff. Susan’s lifelong interest in politics universe was formed around the dinner table in the 1960s and 70s on the upper west side of Manhattan...

Carol Grose is a long time Democrat and advocate for a well-run party. She has been a volunteer for DAUK, the Democratic Party, and candidates. She has served on the Executive Committee of Democrats Abroad UK as well as founding and co-chairing global fundraising for the DNC through DEXPAT from 2005-2009 in order to support the 50 State Strategy. She currently finds consolation in making ‘Daily Action’ phone calls and writing letters to lawmakers.
